What it does
Pack-free wait analysis is table stakes — SolarWinds and DBmarlin own it, and free scripts prove the technique. KinetiTrace has to be excellent at that and do what none of them do: attribute waits to the Azure layer and connect performance to your Oracle bill.
Agentless ~1-second sampling of GV$SESSION / V$SQL / V$SESSION_EVENT over SQL*Net — no host agent, no Diagnostics Pack. Persistent history, wait-event drill-down, top-SQL, plan-change detection, baselines, and alerting. Works even where OS access is unavailable, like Database@Azure and Autonomous.
Correlate Oracle wait events with Azure Monitor metrics — managed-disk throttling, VM caps, NVMe and network limits. "Your db file sequential read spike at 14:02 is disk throttling on lun3 — resize P30→P40." Nobody else attributes Oracle waits to the Azure infrastructure underneath.
A signed 27-query catalog the collector provably never steps outside — turning the #1 audit fear into a feature. Read DBA_FEATURE_USAGE_STATISTICS to flag EE→SE downgrade candidates and right-size the options you actually pay for.
How it deploys
Deploys as an Azure Managed Application into your own subscription — Bicep, Container Apps, private endpoints, and Entra ID SSO. Your monitoring data never leaves your tenant. Prefer on-prem or air-gapped? The same containers run self-hosted via docker-compose on Linux or Windows.
The collector samples over SQL*Net with no host agent — so it works where you can't install one, including Database@Azure and Autonomous. A TimescaleDB store keeps the history; the control plane serves the dashboards, the Azure correlation engine, the license analytics, and the AI copilot.
